    Hi,
I want to develop a private game for myself and my friends, not for profit. I 'd like the final product to be a discrete file that can be sent and installed offline (no cloud platform involved). And I may use copyrighted content, so I don't want anyone to have the ability to police my work.
Are the unity or unreal development engines compatible with my requirements? Or is your game linked in to their distribution system and subject to their content guidelines? Thanks

    Hi,
I don't know about Unreal, but with Unity you are NOT bounded to their cloud system and you're free to do anything with your project!
They have some license type. For indie studios with annual revenue under 100'000 USD (which fits your conditions I guess!) you can get a free license!
