    I think it's really more a question of ... if you've been reading for a few years there's not much new coming up. Same topics/arguments/etc... being rehashed so it gets dull. So it's really more of a old-forum-member/reader thing than being a dev who's been around a while. Also I think you'll find people still read peruse etc.. but don't respond as much since they've pretty much said what they had to say on various subjects. You find more comments by people who've been around a while in topics relating to something really new to the business.
