Hello, my name is Mik and I'm the creator and developer of Undecima - a new online browser multiplayer strategy game. After 6 years of intensive development and sleepless nights, I have finally finished my one-man project and it's up and running now. Undecima is in Open Beta at the moment and I welcome everybody to come and try it.

    A bit about the game:

The world of Undecima was shattered due to a terrible cataclysm into eleven planes thrown apart into a void and faintly connected by the same arcane magic that tore it apart. Now it lies in ruins and ruled by a cruel and merciless wizard, who has in his possession the Crown of Ultimate Power - the great artifact that can give supremacy to anyone who holds it. Now it can be up to you to claim the Crown of Ultimate Power and use it again for Good. Whether it's the steel of Might, the power of Magic, the spirit of Nature, or the light of Faith, you shall face your enemies with courage and honour and prove yourself as a True Ruler of the World of Undecima.

You start with a small neutral village, develop it, select and research a town class for your town, train your troops, advanced through the levels, conquer a super-artifact, hold it for three days and claim yourself as a winner... The main concept that sets this game apart from other similar games is the fairness of the game play, you can read more about the game in this article.

Some other interesting features of the game are:

    - Simple but efficient combat mode (e.g. you can scout, attack, defend, counter-attack, intercept, and dodge enemies and reinforce your allies).

    - Lack of tedious macro-management. You have plenty of upgrades and researches to do, but can control only one town.

    - All units from very basic to elite have a set of abilities and skills that makes them unique in the game and useful in different situations.

    - Four Town Classes to select (Might, Magic, Nature, and Faith) with unique buildings, upgrades, researches, units, and commanders.

    - Ability to play either PvP or PvE or mix it at the same time. For example theoretically, you can finish the game without attacking another player (not sure if it's going to be fun though).

    - Plenty of rewards, such as weekly ranking, overall ranks, medals, personal achievements and more.

    - The game is addictive, but doesn't take up all of your time (here I'm not sure whether it's a good point or bad).

The game is written in C# (ASP.NET) with the use of JavaScript.

    Here is the Undecima Trailer.
Or you can watch videos to check the gameplay on Undecima Video Channel
Here you can find Undecima Image Gallery.
Will be happy to hear your feedback and answer any questions here or on Undecima Forum.

And remember - Undecima Wants You! :D

A new Tutorial is coming soon (in about a week or hopefully even sooner). It will have more steps, but it will progress through the game much rapidly, advancing a player right to the point of researching a Town Class.

You can read more, share your thoughts or ask any questions in this thread.

A new Tutorial I mentioned before is up and running now. ). It is a bit longer, but much faster and takes you from the very beginning of the game and right to the point where you can research your Town Class. As you progress through the tutorial, you will develop your Town, learn about different features of the game and will be rewarded with gold, food, troops, and even some days of premium account.

The game is still in Open Beta - so if you tried it before and left the game for a while, I'd suggest restarting the game (another new feature, accessible under your account details) - it will give you a fresh start and bonus premium days ;)

You can read more about the new tutorial here

And remember, Undecima Wants You! :)

Another video strategy guide is available on YouTube: Mercenaries and Capturing Artifacts. In this video you can learn more about Mercenaries and Commanders and how to capture an Artifact from a Dungeon. There is a hint as well on how to spot a Dungeon with an Artifact without scouting it.

Undecima Video Tutorial has been reworked, edited, and put in one file. In this video, we are going to complete the Game's tutorial, have a look at and get a feel for how to play the game, and learn about all basic buildings and main concepts of the Game. The Tutorial will walk you through the early stage of the game, starting from the very beginning and to the point where you research your Town Class.

To make it even more exciting, there is a mini-game hidden in this video. You can find more here

Two more strategy guide videos have been reworked, edited, and put in separate files. Life after the Tutorial - in this video, we'll talk about developing your town after you complete the Tutorial and how to capture an Altar in your Cell. And Stealing Soul Gems and Capturing Altars - in this video, we'll talk about stealing Soul Gems from inactive players and capturing Altars located outside of your Cell. You will learn more about Developing your Town, Training your Troops, Scouting, Wave Attacking, Town Classes, Commanders, and Altars.

The hidden-object game still continues in both videos - you can find more here or there

The Mercenaries and Capturing Artifacts video has been reworked, edited, and put in separate file. In this video, we'll talk about Mercenaries and we'll try capturing an Artifact from a Dungeon. You will learn more about developing your Town, hiring Mercenaries, Scouting, Attacking, Commanders, and Dungeons. There will be also a hint on how to spot a Dungeon with an Artifact without scouting it.

We will continue our hidden-object game in this video as well - you can find more here

Now, you can get up to a week of premium account just by watching videos that will show, explain, and teach you how to play the game – can't be wrong with this one ;)

A new video strategy guide - Capturing Soul Gems from Bastions - is available on YouTube now. In this video we'll try capturing a Soul Gem from a Bastion. You will learn more about developing your Town, Commanders, Mercenaries, Bastions, Scouting, Attacking, and about Negative Income and its consequences.

There will be also a hint on how to spot a Bastion with a Soul Gem without scouting it. And we will continue with our hidden-object game in this video - you can find more here.

A new update is coming as well: there will be a new medal - Medal of Iron Will - that will be given to a player who logged at least once in the past week and played the longest without a premium account. This player will also receive the accompanying reward of 7 premium days. You can read more about it in this thread. A little "thank you" for Undecima veterans ;)

It's cool, it's not very shiny, and it is true iron - the Medal of Iron Will has been implemented and awarded to one of the Undecima veteran players. If you tried Undecima before, it might be your chance to get this unique medal next week ;). You can see the Medal itself and find more about it in this thread.

Talk about coming out swinging! well, where shall I begin...

well this type of game I've never been to terribly interested in, though for the sake of indie support I'm willing to set that aside critically to favor it. It's pretty straight forward, anyone who likes this type of play will be interested in it. Nothing overly grand though nothing that should be ignored either. All in all, well done.

    Thank you for your reply.
The game is still in development and I'm adding new features all the time - it will be grand and everything ;) just give it a bit more time :D

On a side note... All new features of the Mayor have been implemented and documented. You can now improve the efficiency of your buildings, queue your tasks and even instantly finish them. You can find description and details of all features under the Mayor Help section on the Undecima Help Portal. And here is the thread for discussion of these new features and changes.

    Ya know...

I really hate it when people bump there threads, though you're a good example of someone who bumps there threads for a reason.

There are note worthy updates, not to mention a few fixes here and there, there is so much said here that I do enjoy to read there, I'm not targeting you for a bad reason in fact, I'm targeting you as a leading example.

Huh, thank you. I'm in general trying to make an update worth mentioning every week and if I do, then I post about this update in the thread :)
