This might seem a bit of an obscure topic...
I see a lot of indie games come out that have titles like "Puzzle Game!" or "Science Man!" or "Pretty-much-the-most-boring-title-I-can-think-of-game!"
Is it just me or is the title really important? Especially with 5 billion other games out there to choose from, it seems like your game's title really needs to pop out.

Thats probably were inventing a main character could come in handy. Look at Proffessor Fizzwizzle, different games same character, I'm sure the brand recognition helps players recognise a title from the same developer. On portals, do most customers even know who makes the games?
