Just to check that it works ok. If anyone's got one of them Intel ones I'd be ultra-super-interested to know if it works. If it runs slowly or crappily on any Mac I'd also love to hear from you! http://www.puppygames.net/downloads/TitanAttacks_MacOSX.zip (4.3mb) Cas
Hey, I ordered the MacBook Pro, but I won't receive it until next month. I'll glad to test it once I got the MacBook Pro (I hate the new name!). Did you compile it as universal binary?
Unfortunately it's not a universal binary and it's guaranteed not to work on the Intel Macs just now :/ We're looking into getting this fixed ASAP. <edit>Link explaining why it doesn't "just work" under Rosetta. Cas
Tried it on a G4 with OS X 10.3.9 and it did not work. No idea why as I don't really know anything about macs. The Titan Attacks icon bounces abit in the dock, (or tray or whatever it's called), then just dissapears. At first I suspected that I had done something wrong so I downloaded Ultratron from your site to see if I could get that to work, and that worked without any problems. Let me know if you need any more info and I'll try and find it for you..
Sorry, I uploaded a busted one last night while attempting to figure out fat binaries and fell asleep before I could be bothered to figure out Xcode I will post again when it's fixed. Cas
Tried it on my Mini-Mac. It seems to 'jam' on left/right movement sometimes - i.e. I will move left a bit, but it will keep going until it hits the edge of the screen, and stay locked there for a second or two thereafter. Because of that, I really didn't play past a minute or so into the first level. Didn't see any other obvious issues.
FWIW, I had my keys remapped within the game, and I also have them remapped at the OS level (I'm using CTRL for ALT)
Cas, seems to work OK on my Mini (haven't remapped any keys though). That's the first game you've produced that I actually really want to buy. Really well done. Best regards, Emmanuel
Ah. Might be something to do with it. I had no idea you could even do that and I expect the same is true of 99% of OSX users so maybe I won't investigate too further Cas
Remapping keys is fairly easy to do - it's in the System Preferences. I've remapped mine to be more like the PC keyboard - perhaps other folks do the same. Though I haven't remapped the arrow keys, and it's the arrow keys that had the problem.
