What does the game's name steamers stand for?
Ah this is a good question. The Steamers is named the way it is because of how much steam is on the planet. There are many geezers and the people of our world have learned how to harness the power of this steam. Hence The Steamers. The world is set in a medieval sort of era, except for the face that there are some technologies that are more advanced thanks to steam. I may not be explaining it as best as I can but I promise you that it'll make sense in the story and gameplay

Yeah we really dont like the "freemium" sort of marketing. We are not sure our game will need DLC since we will regularly and frequently release new episodes.
So the episodes mate... can you elaborate on those?
Well not all of the episodes will be connected. We dont want to force the players to play the whole series in order to experience a full story. We also dont want to force the player to have to play our older episodes (which will have less to offer than the newer ones.) So these episodes, for lack of a better word, will be several hours long, we're not sure how long yet. Each episode will typically provide you with a complete story. Some stories will be dragged on over a few episodes if needed.
The main reason we are doing this is so that we can release the game as its growing. We'd rather that than wait 3 years in between releases. This way our game can get better every couple of weeks, instead of every several years.
Can I give a suggestion though? You can make completely unique multiplayer modes if you have the will.
I'd rather play multiplayer with only one 100% original multiplayer mode instead of 5 like deathmatch, endurance, etc...
Your suggestion has been heard, but we fear that we wont be able to do multiplayer until our studio grows a little bit more. There are currently only three of us and tackling multiplayer would be a little more work than we can handle..
Rest assured, there will be multiplayer one day.
I don't quite agree ( I could be wrong), I think if you started with one original mode, you could still shave a year or so off multiplayer dev.
When you say mode do you mean like either full RTS or full Third Person shooter? I see what you are saying but at the same time we really value having several gameplay styles available for the player
Just saying you could start by providing one(like in late beta)

What about the spears can you tell me(if it's not studio secret) in what situations will you use spears?
Melee is something that we haven't fully implemented yet. We have a basic systems but would rather wait until we've really made it nice and fluid. So there wont be any melee in the first episode
