If you are looking to collaborate with a freelance composer with honest intention, skill, and a genuine desire to add to the artistic value of the video game you are developing, I'm happy to let you know that you're on the right post! :)

My name is Matthew Plaza, and some of my earliest memories include playing Super Paper Mario on the Nintendo 64 and taking classical piano lessons. I'm proud to say while I no longer have a functioning N64, I still find time to play video games of all types between composing and producing music of tons of different styles and genres.

To spare you the long life story, I decided to pursue music composition because music has been a huge positive impact on my life, and I've always loved how, regardless of genre, good music makes video games a more thrilling and immersive experience- and that's where you come in! You're searching for the right music which is going to show off the hard work that's gone into developing your game.

You don't just want anything, you want music which will fit your game's aesthetic and make it an enjoyable and absorptive experience.

We all know the feeling of being captivated by a video game and losing sense of outside reality!

You want your players to have a hard time calling it quits, and I want to give you music which will make your players absolutely addicted!

So please check out my website where you can hear a list of demos I've selected- people have always told me my music surprises them, meaning they must have thought I was boring until they heard my music...
And most importantly, send me an email telling me the unique vision you and your team have for your game! I am confident in my ability to help bring your concept to life! And hey, if for some reason my music won't be a good fit for your project, I will personally decline your offer. My goal is for your game to be awesome.

    Much success to you all,
    Matthew Plaza

    p.s.
While I didn't become a composer for the money, I have to eat to keep at it. Please contact me for paid offers, unless you're EA and going to feature my music on your website homepage.

    Hello everybody!

I'm excited to be able to share a demo rendition of a current track I'm working on, in which I focus on creating a gloomy and mysterious atmospheric environment which gradually evolves in very loose time- it's always a rewarding challenge to produce music outside of strict rhythmic metrics so that it breathes more naturally!

    I hope you all enjoy,
    Matthew Plaza :)

News! I'm so happy to share a new track I've been working on which goes for a very percussive and tribal sound, yet is also bursting forth with folkish melody! This track is a synthesis of both old and new soundscape techniques I've been developing, and combines elements from both my acoustic and more electronic works. Enjoy! :)
