My name is Robert Hibbs, and I've been playing music in some form since middle school. For several years I have been writing and publishing my own music, heavily influenced by progressive metal acts like Opeth, BTBAM, David Maxim Micic, etc. Obviously, since I'm here, I am a big fan of video game soundtracks as well - especially energetic, melody driven OSTs a la Super Meat Boy, Cave Story, or Shovel Knight. I've also recently taken some influence from Ridiculon's raw, guitar-driven soundtracks, which is probably closer to what I would specialize in.

I realize that the vast majority of my work consists of often lengthy, standalone compositions, which aren't typically what you'd find in video games. While I can't claim to have the wealth of game composition experience that many others on this forum have, I hope that the examples below demonstrate that I do have, if nothing else: a passion for my craft, a desire to grow and perfect it, and a willingness to experiment.

Hit me up at theimpuremusic@gmail.com if you would like to work with me. Compensation is negotiable.

Thanks in advance for listening, and I hope to hear from you!

[Note: My most recent upload is definitely the most representative of my current ability as a producer. I'm still proud of my older tracks, but I'd say I've made leaps and bounds since completing them.]
