    Hi!

    My name is Matthew Dear, I am a sound designer, composer and audio implementor. I've combined my two great passions of audio and gaming to create in-your-face, highly varied audio assets!
    Here are a few points about me:


    - I've been playing games and composing music for twelve years, covering a wide variety of styles and formats.

    - I run a pro-quality home studio; capable of both realistic, high quality recordings and far-out conceptual effects/ambiences.

    - I also do freelance work at OMUK's London studio. OMUK are a world-renonowned dialogue studio, working on games since 1996!

    - Last year I completed an online course using Wwise audio implementation software, graduating with an A. I've since used this knowledge to program my own audio systems.

    As mentioned last week there is the link to my Rising Legends SFX Alpha Demo. It only contains sounds from the first stage, so you will have to wait
    until the full release to see all of them in action!




    I will be attending EGX: Rezzed at Tobacco Dock in London at the end of this week, so if any of you are going, I may see you there...

    Hello again to everyone I met at EGX: Rezzed! I had an awesome time connecting with some amazing developers and checking out what the industry has to offer over the next few months.
    Particular highlights for me were: Tokyo 42, Pool Panic and the upcoming Renowned Explorers DLC!

    I've been pretty busy this last week, working on a couple of new projects and getting ready for the recording studio with my folk-rock band Green Diesel!
    We started putting the rhythm tracks down over the last couple of days, and tomorrow we'll be adding some guitar solos :p

    I have many footsteps for you this week: Dirt, sand, puddle, linoleum...



    These sounds were another part of my work on Apocalypse Alpha. Keep an eye(ear) out, they'll be implementing in-game shortly

    I've put together a collection of sounds that I've made for Winged CLouds upcoming game Sakura Dungeon.

    This soundreel is focusing on basic combat and movement sounds. I'll be making 'Magic & Abilities' and 'UI sounds' demos as well.

    I've been on holiday for a week :) But I'm back now... to make banging sound effects and smash melons with hammers, so still :)
