I have a working Mac build of my Unity game and my game is about to be released on Steam for all 3 supported platforms. I am wondering whether it is worth the effort and any possible fee (not sure if there is one) to make that mac store validated build and release it on the Mac store? I am not that confident that there would be any sales from that store. Just like I am not bothering with the Windows store.

I'm also wondering the same thing for my games. Apple has the developer program for iOS where there's an annual fee and I believe there's also a fee for the Mac. I believe it could be worth it. It also depends on the game itself. A page with good text, graphics, icons will convince more.

The Mac platform has been historically not so great to gamers. Many games don't even support Mac.

However, that's changing! With the new Mac's they're taken more of a game friendly approach, including VR compatibility.

If you're already building for iOS it shouldn't be to hard to submit to the MacOS store as well. My understanding is that its one fee for all stores/programs for apple. So why not?
