Little Soldiers is a turn based puzzle game. Though it's sort of limiting to call it a puzzle game because it has some action, adventure, and strategic elements.

    Here's the app store description...

So the funny story about this is, I wasn't expecting to release it yet. The build I have in the appstore requires iOS4 by accident. (it's a silly XCode compiler flag) So I was waiting for the update to get approved before sending out promo codes and I thought I had lots of time to get the trailer together etc. I was super surprised when Apple decided to feature it in their new and noteworthy section and it started to sell. I just wish they would approve the update!

Here's the appStore link for convenience if you'd like to check it out :)

Hand crafted C++ and OpenGL ES.

It's fairly cross platform, half the development was done on a PC and the other half on a mac with occasional device builds. I expect to have PC and MAC versions in the not too distant future... and in some parallel dimension where I have unbelievable amounts of time NaCl and Linux!

If it looks good it's because DayDream was in charge of the art :)

Looks great but the videos don't show enough or don't show anything interesting IMO. Still no idea what is the gameplay after watching.

Yeah their just little glimpses of game mechanics that I'm trying to splice into a trailer. I should record a full level with music to really capture the feel. I have some time before work.. hmmmm

Apparently I suck at youtube or something. Youtube compressed the crap out of this video so it's all blurry. Here it is though, an example level!

Woot! after 2 weeks Apple approved the v1.0.2 update, so anyone running iOS 3.0 or later can now download and run the game :)

We are no longer featured in the App Store so I suspect that will be our peak for the time being. Looking forward to releasing it on other platforms now. The positive response from players is really quite overwhelming and appreciated :)

    Thanks Red :)

Just in case the price was an issue for anyone who wanted to try the game, we will be having a one day sale tomorrow (the 19th) at the $.99 price point.
