Gamma IV is happening on Wednesday (we aren't organizing a separate indie party this year--we're merging our organizational efforts together).

I'm down for a dinner, especially if it's later in the week. I'm pretty tapped out for IGS/IGF early on.

Just found out I'll be coming. Dinner was fun last year - totally up for it again. I'm flexible on times - let's just nail a day down so it doesn't get squeezed out.

Count me in, too. Do you have a Facebook group for this or something similar or should I keep checking on this thread?

Thirsty Bear is deliscous but the crowds are out of control when there's events at Moscone and they tend to not seat without reservation in those cases, so we should plan ahead. It's a bit of a trek but there's also 21st Amendment on Brannan and 2nd...

I'm a definite! (BFG are sending me, woo!) It'll be good to see some familiar faces there (people I met at UK Indie meetups) and to meet some more forum members.

Good call from Cyrus that it should not clash with the IGF awards.

Yes, I think that this is in the IGF rules. Congrats, Mike!

    Woohoo and Eep!

Alright, my luck is on a roll lately, so lets make it silly. If I can convince Apple to give me a pre-release iPad, I'll buy. :)

    Mike you're insane!

So there is an IGS get-together Wed, and the IGF awards is Thr.

So that still leaves Tue/Fri for most people I'd guess...are we ready to vote on days?

As much as I'd hate not to have Matthew there (big :() I'd very strongly vote not Friday as I think it is going to be a nightmare night for finding a place to eat...but...how many people will be there Tuesday? Friday may be the only option anyway...for dinner. Perhaps a lunch might be worth considering as lunches aren't included this year?

At the moment it looks like I won't be reaching SF until the 10th or so, although I haven't booked firmly.

Cyrus, I think Fri. night will be fine. Most people will be leaving the conference Fri. night. I expect Sat will be very dull, except for the expo hall.

    I vote Fri.

Friday is fine for me, looking forward to it!

Did anyone step up to "own" this task yet and finalise venue/time and posting info about it etc? Thx in advance.

Okay. After re-reading the posts, I think our marginal vote is to meet on Fri. after the show, in an open part of Moscone and find dinner together.

Cyrus, we made three reservations at Buca last year, and one of them had to be canceled. The other two were placed in difference parts of the restaurant. I don't want to split up the party this year. Already there will be more than 20 dinner guests, the Buca Limit.

    I could make reservations at:

    Henry's Hunan
    Mel's Diner
    Thirsty Bear
    Chevy's

Right now I'm thinking Henry's has a couple good deals at less than $20 per person, less tip and tax.

    next round of opinions, please

The banquet options at Henry's sound rather limited for vegetarians (I'm not, but the caterpillar is. He would be happy if they had veggie chow mein though).

The thirsty bear menu looks nice. I'd probably be most interested in that or Mel's. As for Chevy's, I get my burritos in the Mission!
