Help Wanted: 2D/3D Artist (paid position)

    Hopefully this is the proper department. "Indie Gamer forums" does not have a specific "help wanted" section.

    Note: This is a paying job for a number of fully funded titles currently in production.

    Seeking an independent contractor 2D/3D artist that can create initial character & environment concept sketches and then turn those in to 3D characters & environments.

    Skillset:
    Capable of working in both 2D & 3D.
    Must be able to model, texture, rig, skin & animate.
    Comfortable with Adobe Photoshop and either 3DS Max or Maya.
    Low polygon & small footprint texturing skills an absolute necessity.
    Ability to complete pieces that meet requirements.
    Capable of turning around revisions quickly.


    This is an oppurtunity for an artist to set the look & feel of an entire game. There is also oppurtunity to work on future games for the right individual.

    Samples of previous work are required. Principals only, no artists or large teams required. Serious submissions only. Artists with no previous published titles considered if a strong portfolio is shown.

    Is there a reason you're cutting artists who don't use 3DS Max or Maya? Also, is there a reason they have to know Photoshop, or can another similar package do? For the record, I'm not interested- just curious.

    If an artist can prove that they can do just as good a job in other art packages without causing undue problems with our art pipeline I would also consider them. I was simply asking for the standard three industry packages that most professional artists would use.

    A good thing to clarify, since a lot of 'professional' artists don't use Maya or 3ds.
