Does anyone have experience with contacting Let's Players
and like to share ?
Twitter is probably the best way, and email is kind of hit or miss. It can take several attempts and depending on the game may or may not work for let's players. it has to be something that has some possibility of going viral essentially. My company has tried contacting dozens of YouTubers in various ways, and we managed to get ahold of two, but we couldn't work anything out with them. Hopefully you'll have better luck!
you think they look for special games or better to say special events in games ?
Not sure if I'd say special events. I don't think most games have events that you see on YouTube. Mostly the game just has to be watchable for people not playing it. If you can find a let's player that plays games mostly in a specific genre then they'd be more likely to give a game in that genre a try.
Actually, email is the best, you send you key and a short message and always personalized every email, after that just send a twitter saying that you send a email. Always suscribe to their channels and follow them, if you can put an extra about them in the email the better, just to they know that you are a fan. Most of them say what they like to play and what not.
andyfdz. thanks for your post please don't get me wrong on this. is this your own experience or you just have heard or read about ?
Experience i try to reach streamers from youtube and twitch.
oh you like to share such a video ?
I don't have a video while i'm contacting streamers though i'm gonna think about it, but i do highly recommend start with this list and search for streamer for your game. HERE @JoBader Hope it helps!
hello Andydfz. thanks for the link.
in the meanwhile I think my game is not suitable for youtubers. As a strategy game it has not enough colorfull graphics and visual efects.
and that is perhaps youtubers are looking for.
If you check the list, there is a part when you can see the types of genres those youtubers like and some of them like strategy games, give yourself a chance and if the games is ready or bug free, you can start asking for youtubers to streaming, also if you have your contact info some of them will ask for keys. There is a public for everything, you only have to look for it. Best of luck @JoBader !
