I'm not exactly into into making JRPGs myself but HTML5 tech is kind of interesting and I know quite a few people here that are into this type of games. Speed seems ok (only tested in Chrome) but probably many missing features compared to RPG Maker and other engines.
I'm almost tempted to try creating just a tiny Map and a simple quest :p

    Link: http://rpgjs.com/

    Features:
    • Free and Open Source
    • Full documentation
    • 100% HTML5 and Javascript
    • Commercial Use
    • Import maps RPG Maker XP
    • 100 preset animations (the same as RPG Maker XP)

It looks interesting - thanks for the link.

Though all the screenshots shown use RMXP resources, which I think is a big no-no, esp for commercial games.

We're a 100% JavaScript shop so I find this particularly interesting, thanks for sharing!
