    Hi,
Do any of the big game development platform allow you to create a game with the the final product being a discrete installation file, that i can send to friends ? (non-web-based platform)
I want to make a short game for myself and some friends.. I and may use copyrigjhted material and music. It won't be released to the public and it won't be for sale, so I'm not looking for a marketplace, nor do I want anyone to have the ability to police my content. This isnt the typical game dev platform model, but perhaps there is some truly-free platform the supports it?
    Thanks

Hi! An example of what you're looking for is Panda3D: it is a truly-free engine and it provides deployment tools which allows you to distribute your game. Anyway, there may be other ones, I just cited this one since it is the one I know more.
