    Hello Community,

I have developed a new game. I am very new in this industry - so difficult to understand how good/bad it is.
It took me 6 months from the first commit to final publishing to play store. So was not so easy for me.

The majority of the design was taken from free resources, but some were bought. The final combination in-game was done without a designer.

So here it is - Prince Kevin's Adventure
Just watch a video, already enough to answer question I think :)

I would be very thankful to get feedback if it cost something and make sense to continue the game in this direction.

    Thanks
    Hennadii

I think the game looks pretty cool... the style reminds me of the scribblenauts series.

Ha, nice comparison! Thanks for the feedback!
For sure game is far away from scribblenauts series, but I am proud you mention it.

Love the pallete and vibe you're going for! It's got a cute charm, but the animations feel a bit cheap and stiff and seem to lack a bit of polish. I'd put some rotations into the animations, like when an enemy gets hit they rotate and flyyyyyy back; it'd be SO impactful! Overall it's looking really solid though! Glad it's on mobile too, that sounds like the ideal platform for it :)

Hello Two Tail Fox, Thank you for your comment!!! You are absolutely right with your comment as for animations. Your example just pushed me to sit on PC and improve :) Dead enemy animation was done in the very beginning and fast mock. Now I would try effects exactly you described and let's see how it will look. It is "cheap" changes wich really can bring benefits. Thank you once more!!!

I have finished some changes into a direction - enemy damage reaction. My updates are on the play store. Not perfect, but for sure better.
Thanks this community for this push!

The only think that I would personally improve is the background of the loading screen. It is not really a must.
For an easier movement experience, I think it would be handier to have a joystick rather than two buttons.
Besides that, I have enjoyed the game.
Just curious, did you make the graphics or did you use assets?
    Congrats! :)

    Game looks really cool.
RE not active community: yeah a couple years ago it looked like this place had a lot of potential but it kind of died off and then they had a lot of problems with bot spam filling up all the boards with hundreds of duplicate posts. Since this was not addressed I assumed there were no active mods and the site was basically dormant.
Revisited today for the first time in months and the spam seems to have been addressed... fingers crossed things pick up again!

Thank you a lot for your feedback. I would think as for background during loading (not sure it will look good if just remove it). As for design - I have used mostly free assets for this game. Some animations I have bought. I am not a designer at all.
Thanks once more for your feedback!

Looks ok, maybe if the player was able to acquire some special attributes would help. Along with more complex level design giving the player hidden treasures or something. Speed up the player also.

Hey, thank you for your feedback. The hidden treasures exist on later levels. As for speed up the player - good idea! I would try to improve already in next platformer. Might got new assets for next game :)
