Howdy.
I made a game for the Assembly 2006 game design contest, available from: www.asshatdesigns.com screenshot The game is a 2d explosive drill-mining game in the feel of lemmings or worms. Kind of. As an additional twist, I decided to add a indie music soundtrack, and managed to sign on four bands, making this game (as far as I know anyway) the world's first freely distributable game with licensed music, and also such a game with the best soundtrack ever =) For more on my adventures in indieland, check my blog at http://iki.fi/sol/

Ok I have to say this game kicks all kinds of a## - I mean sand!
This reminds me of that hell of sand java game. The music rocks and the gameplay is great! You should make a sequel with more kinds of traps, explosions, etc. Great game! |

Was putting in a thread search for something completely different (cheap public liability insurance) and found this.
I know this is a bit old this thread (sorry to the bump haters out there ) but was really impressed with the game. Was just wondering if you found out if it was the "world's first freely distributable game with licensed music"?Either way, well done on a great little game with some top music.
