Talking ANN: CellBlock Squadrons

Rebel to Repay $500 Million in Service in Cellblock Squadrons
Super Furious Software Launches New 3D Space Combat Game, Cellblock Squadrons!

Perth, Australia, Jan 24th, 2005 – Super Furious Software, www.superfurious.com, announced today that their first title, Cellblock Squadrons, is officially ready for electronic distribution. You can download the free demo or purchase the game from their secure website.

Cellblock Squadrons takes the player out of the bogus, “I’m going to save the world” attitude and slaps them into a prisoner’s cell. As a convicted anti-government rebel you are forced to repay your debt to society by flying fighter missions against an invading alien force. With each successful mission you are one step closer to freedom. Enjoy all the action you would expect from a space combat game with a fun and witty storyline brought to you in your cell by e-mail each “week” of play.

The game features massive battles against alien capital ships where you and up to 99 computer controlled wingmen take on some of the most dangerous ships this side of Alpha Centuri. Don’t worry about your wingmen being the standard incompetent and useless pilots they have been in other games. The advanced AI makes them a force to be reckoned with, and you are going to need all the help you can get. You can select up to 5 different ships, each with unique attributes and abilities, such as shields, overpowered weapons, and teleportation. Plow through over 100 randomized levels and over 40 different ship types with no “script” to follow. Destroy the enemy and get yourself a few thousand dollars closer to buying your freedom from the Cellblock Squadrons.

Cellblock Squadrons is available as a free demo from www.superfurious.com and the full version can be purchased from that same site.

Enjoy, with improved backgrounds, little tutorial thingies, and few added extras since the beta. Thanks to everyone that helped!
