Smile 'Knight vs. Orcs' - First Public Release

I have been developing this small fantasy RTS under the 'knights vs orcs' codename for about a year now on my spare time.

The game is based on a free movement (no tiles at all). Original blog post at my site : Post

I have already received the following notes / issues :
  1. Overwhelmed quickly - there for a reason.
  2. Problems with controls - investigating, please provide specific information if you aren't able to control your units.
  3. Pathfinding (unit stuck) - known, some of the problems caused by the free movement (game doesn't use tiles).

All feedback is appreciated. Also feel free to email me : arto.ruotsalainen@gmail.com

You went much further than me in my first RTS attempt, so... good for you, I guess!

I didn't play it for long, since there is no sound and no fullscreen mode.

Thumbs up

Thanks for the feedback.

There is no sound support currently as SDL Audio crashes on Vista for some reason (I'm investigating).

What are you programming in? If you're using something GCC based, I know that the new version has some pretty severe issues with SDL.

Yep, I'm using GCC. Do you know if there is a chance to get it working with some earlier version or?
