    Smile Development tracking

First a hello to all out there, long time reader first time subscriber :P

After reading a thread about tracking development I thought I would ask the question of how everyone else keeps track of their progress and to do lists? At the moment Im using an incredibly cool peice of software thats free for single users, OnTime 2004.

I thought that if anyone isn't aware of this then I better make them After developing countless freeware games with only a peice of paper and text files I found this software ingenious to my cause.. Being able to plan features and seperate them into planned builds really keeps me on target.

I'm using FogBugz from FogCreekSoftware: http://www.fogcreek.com

After using several issue trackers and manual methods (excel, word, paper etc) I'm very satisfied with it. It simply works ..

Hi! You can also check out this tool:

It's very clean and easy to use. There are some difficulties when using it in projects with lots of participants, but for one man project it's very good choice.

I recently started using Flyspray. I have no particular reason for choosing Flyspray over any other similar tool; it just happened to be the first one that I looked at.

I've read about a project called Scarab.

I haven't used anything myself yet, so I can't comment on it.

I use TextPad and ActionOutlook to keep track of various problems. If a bug is reported, I make a task for it as well as notes about how the user recreated it. As I remove the bug, I mark the task as complete.

It also comes in handy during development to make notes to myself to fix other certain areas that may be broken, or experiencing prroblems.
