    1. ad

    2. a

    3. bd (I categorically refuse to pay more than $20 for a game.)

    4. Add role-playing and/or strategy elements. I find "pure" action games boring. If my only method of interacting with the world

    5. a (But it's not a very strong preference.)

    6. b

    7. In 3D/first person: Wing Commander 2. In 2D/top down: Galaga. Overall I found Wing Commander 2 more engaging than Galaga, for numerous reasons.

    8. 'a' right now, not counting playtesting my own games. 'e' (more than 80 hours) when I'm on a gaming binge, which happens once or twice a year.

    2. Yes, bought StarScape online from thier website [highly recommended]

    3. role-playing or strategy gameplay a big plus -- C) [should be mandatory]

    4. Most games have boring plots, Starscape however had a bad-ass plot, and at the end....Well, wouldn't want to give it away

    5. Which converting method do you like?
    --This is a complex question--------
    a) Download the full version.[makes the demo DL faster]I like
    b) Unlock w/ activation code. [makes the game easier to crack]

    6. When a trial version of downloadable game has limitation, which following limitation you see is more suitable?
    a) Playing time. [I think this works best. Cuts you off when you still want to play more]
    b) Accessible levels/missions. [sometimes I finish the demo levels and say hmmm..that game was fun. then move on to other things]

    7. Favorite space shooter? Paradroid, Hey ! it was a space shooter..kinda

    8. e) More than 41hrs.

    1. Me? Male, like other Indie gamer
    26. also like most of you.

    2. No, I haven't. sorry, I'm a little tight with my budget.

    3. I think, it depends on the " TEH GAMEH ".
since you want to make a space shooter game or in it short SHMUP.
How do you want to level up? or decreased level?
Not that I think it is impossible, But I think it is a good idea,
as I have seen in other related SHMUPS.
I think It is better then that Shoot and collect powerup gameplay like most
    other shmup.

    4. What should be improved for a SHMUP?
Levels design, Weapons, colour match Scoring system,
Bullet Scratching system, Scoring combos, Super weapons,
Ships designs, Crazy Bullets pattern, Music, Art, Particles systems, AI,
    BALANCE, etc ..etc ..etc ..etc
You should play these games yourself, I'm not going to reveal all my
    game plan to you

    5. Answer => B

    6. With Levels.
It is very anoying, to play a game with 3/4 minutes time limits.

    7. My favorite SHMUP games are
Axelay, Gradius, Ikaruga, Radiant Silvergun, Bangaio. ( Treasure / Konami )
Raystorm, Dodonpachi, R-Type, Strikers 1945 series, Giga wing.
and recently I've been Playtesting Japanese SHMUPS Indie games,
Like Kamui, Shooter Solitude, Shiki gami no shiro II,
    Imperishable Night(Shanghai Alice games,recommend!!!) ,
and other japanese Shmups demo .
I'm doing a research for my SHMUP game.

    8. 3 hours top I think. (i'm a between a Casual and a Harcore gamer)
I don't look at the time when I play or Try games.

Well Good Luck to all those dev who work on shmup games,
