    Default Meteor Mayhem Demo Available

Things are both exciting and extremely crazy here, but just wanted to let people know that my Demo is available for download. Currently I just have the full screen version up- (1024 x 768) and I have to go to dinner now so the windowed version will be up sometime tomorrow. Please let me know of any technical difficulties as I have only been able to test installation on a few computers. Thanks so much for your support.... oh and for now the website is being revamped and updated will all of this stuff so you can get the download by going through the main site to get to the blog and the demo is on the right linkbar, along with some older screenshots. Enjoy

pretty fun game, I had some technical issues with it though :-(
The menu didn't work, I could see the different options, like tutorial etc, but I couldn't click on any of them, and I didn't have any cursor or anything moving when I used the up/down arrows....

The artwork looks...really low-tech, the overall concept is neat, but it just looks like you scanned in some drawings, it'd look waaay nicer if you redid them in a vector-based program.

Anyways, good luck with the game

I just downloaded and tried this game.

Why does it have to install in C:\ ??? Put it in the Program Files directory. And don't forget the Desktop shortcut and Start Menu shortcuts. I had to go to C:\ and run the exe directly.

The menu is indeed broken. Clicking, moving the mouse, cursor keys had no effect. Finally I got to another screen, but I don't know how. The art is a mishmash of different styles and really needs to be unified. I figured out how to start a game and place bars in the sky to protect the buildings. At the right was what I supposed was a menu of items I could place in the sky, but my mouse couldn't quite reach that far and pressing the menu item's numbers didn't seem to work. All I could place was the same horizontal bar.

When meteors fell, they mysteriously made no sound when they hit my shields. The level seemed to have no end.

I couldn't figure out how to quit the game so I used CTRL-ALT-DEL.

I think this game needs a lot of work...

(Also, I don't recommend putting an annoying sound as a background loop on your web site!)

Thanks for the feedback. I'm working on the menu navigating immediately and some of the other issues you have pointed out. I really appreciate the feedback and help. Thanks again.

    Default New and Improved

As the case is with making games, there are always unforeseen problems. I just want to thank those who alerted me to said problems and offered constructive criticism. I have taken into account almost every suggestion that I was able to in a respectable amount of time and will try and implement the other suggestions later on. Thanks again for the help. I now have both demos up, please use the full screen version unless your monitor's resolution is below 1024 x 768. Please let me know of any problems, etc. as always feedback is appreciated. After all, I only have a handful of computers to test things out on.
