in fact, what about small developer software marketing.
[edit]
Actually, i like Erik's last title....LOL
I checked out your blog and saw the title 'Joseph Lieberman's Guide to Independent Game Marketing', it seemed a little formal so i ran it through the snoop dog translator, it came out as 'Josizzle Lizzle Guizzle to Indizzle Gizzle Mizzle'...might make it appeal to the younger market...fo sho.

Zen, and the art of marketing indie games?
A VGSmart game marketing book.
OR
1.0 VGSmart game marketing book.
OR
1.0 VGSmart game marketing.
-- why not publicise your name to even those only reading the title?
-- starts with an A or 1.0 for better alphabetical sorting goodness.
-- implies there is another book coming. Why not get some marketing started for your sequel book? When your other book comes out, the old title will sell the second book.
-- the 1.0 version of the title has a clever tie in with the 1.0 of a games release. Ok, so marketing should begin before making the game, but most people only think of it when finishing.
Here are some bylines:
* Increase game sales by 200% within three months or money back.
-- So people know you believe in your words, and it may force you to give value to those buying it.
* Start marketing your game before you finish, for much better sales.
-- there is a much larger audience of people who have not finished a game.
How about make it something lots of people will talk about? Include some of the top indiegamer thread subjects in the title or bylines.
Here are some of the top viewed threads that are possibly relevant...
- Who's the BIGGEST Portal
- Do any of you make a decent living?
- How I increased newsletter signups.
- Xbox 360 Live Arcade - 6 Weeks On
- Tracking CR on download.com: special build?
- Out of interest...[Did you make your website by yourself]
- Google Analytics

If you don't already cover those topics, then I think you should.
Congratulations on finishing your book!

Eeew! Marketing. :-(
"Marketerin" :-)
I'm trying not to comment on names, as I like the creativity and I can't pick a winner yet.
But someone asked if the following topics were covered:
- Who's the BIGGEST Portal
*Not exactly; I talk a good deal about portals and I give contact / company information for all the major portals who wished to have their information displayed. I don't believe "Bigger" is neccessarily "better" so I tried to get the companies to list what really did the best with them. Of course, no portals really want to say that, but I digress.
- Do any of you make a decent living?
*I could cover this in chapter 1 in theory, but does it really relate to marketing? That's a stretch
- How I increased newsletter signups.
*This is covered
- Xbox 360 Live Arcade - 6 Weeks On
*This is too new to write into a book. I don't want my book being outdated in three weeks. I expect to get a full four, maybe five weeks, before it is outdated.
- Tracking CR on download.com: special build?
*I point out that tracking is critical when discussing a variety of things, but I don't go into specifics on how to achieve tracking. That is outside my expertise.
- Out of interest...[Did you make your website by yourself]
Are you asking me? Yes, I did. Are you asking if we cover web design? Yes we do
- Google Analytics
I haven't been able to use GA yet, as they shut it off to new people before any of my major clients could get it. So, not covered but could be added in the future if it is worthy.

Is that english?
