Lightbulb Cost of a wire transfer from RegNow ?

    Hello,

    straight question :
What is the cost of a wire transfer from RegNow ?

    explanations :
BigFishGames can pay only by check or RegNow.
For a check, I'll have about $30 fee from my bank (coz it'll be a check from abroad).
So I wonder if I should not open an account on RegNow, but their info "before to register" is pretty short, and I don't know how much they charge to do a wire transfer to foreing account (more exactly, to France).

    Thanks for ur help

    Wire Transfer
Average Timeframe: 2-5 business days from date sent.
    Eligibility: Non-US Accounts Only
    Cost: $9.95
The information for wire transfers can be entered at the wire transfer form. This option is for those vendors who live outside of the US and would prefer not to receive checks. There is a $9.95 charge for sending wire transfers. This charge does not include any fees that your bank may charge for accepting a wire transfer. Please check with your bank for additional charges.

    From their help form.

Does this mean that the wire transfer is probably more expensive because of the extra $9.95 that RegNow is charging?
The good thing about BFG payments to RegNow is that you can set the amount of $ before your check get sent. So you don't have to pay the bank fees every month.

    Yeah,

That's always the problem with Big Fish if you can't get a million $$$ per month. You are loosing amount on that transfers.
Happy we can to not worry about these issues any more

You might want to look into other banks. Some might charge a smaller fee.

I was being charged each time I deposited a US cheque.. then I found out that most other banks didn't charge anything for this. Probably depends on where you live.. but $30 seems pretty steep.

Banks in France like to charge about everything & anything.
Most of services were free of charge 10 years ago (or cheap).
Now, most are charged, sometimes bad, really bad like a foreign check :
    fee A = service commission 18€
    fee B = change commision 0.5% (with a min of 11.3€, and a max of 25.5€)
    must add A & B ===> at least, 29.3€ ~= $35us.

I already asked in another bank, and it was almost the same thing.... I guess I'll have to ask to another & another banks, but it's a lot of hassle to do, without forgetting it'll be probably charged to open a count, keep it open, etc...

PS : for french people : my bank is "Caisse d'Epargne"; the other bank is "Banque Populaire".
