    Default St. Louis area devs?

Anybody out there in the vicinity of St. Louis, MO? I'm wondering if there's enough people/interest for a St. Louis area devs get together.

This obviously won't help right now, but my mid-term goal is to move up there. I'm aiming for sometime in 2006.

I'm going to school in Rolla. I might make the trip to St. Louis for an indie get together.

    Thumbs up

We are in Kansas City. With some notice we would likely make it over for a get together.

Is there any kind of existing game and/or shareware group in the St. Louis area?

Somebody contact me last spring about forming a St. Louis area game dev group (not specifically indie/shareware - commercial, too), but that person, who was gung-ho at the time, never followed through on it, to my knowledge.

Hmm - seems like a bit too small of a crowd to do anything formal at the moment - esp. with several folks that are hours away.

Well, if any other indies stumble across this thread in the coming weeks/months, please add your name here. I'll check back in a while and maybe we'll have enough people to make it interesting.

The Chicago meeting thread has me jealous and wishing we had such a thing in St. Louis, so I'm pinging this thread to cause it to bubble up. Post if you're in the St. Louis area, and hopefully at some point we'll have enough people to actually have a meeting or something...

I'm still here, still in Rolla, and still slowly working on my first game.

    Another attempt on this thread...

I'm in St. Louis, also. I'd enjoy some sort of get-together definitely. Nothing like swapping ideas and war stories.

Well - slow progress - two devs actually in St. Louis, and a few more a few hours away.

Stu, BlueWaldo, Sonicron/Daniel, Goodsol/Thomas - the next time any of you are going to be in St. Louis, drop me a note and/or post here, and perhaps we can have a little impromptu lunch or a beer or two at the end of the day. It would only be 3 people that way - not much of a group, but better than nothing.

I'm waking up a post that's been asleep for almost a year. I hope it doesn't bother anyone.

I also live in the St. Louis area. (I'm out in Saint Peters, Missouri.)

I'm technically just a hobbiest, and not a pro like some of you guys, but one of these days (hopefully sooner than later) I'll pull my head out and make a game worth selling. I'd definitely be interested in joining in on the fun if a St. Louis area get together ever got off the ground.
