Installed and ran just fine.
Hi all,
I've completed Hap Hazard, deciding to make it a simple webgame instead of a download and buy. It's basically in its finished state, but I thought I'd post it here to see if anyone had any trouble running it before I make it happen.

Just click the link. It'll ask you to install and ActiveX control (IE only) to play the game (if you've already played a web game off my site, you won't have to).
Thanks for your help!
John
Installed and ran just fine.
Works ok here. May want to change the "fall too far" reaction, however. It's really weird him bouncing all over like that. Took me a while to understand what exactly was going on.

Cool little game![]()
I played some early betas and loved it. Check it out. Especially if you're a jumpman junkie.

I grew up with Jumpman on Atari 800... Jumpman junkie right here... kick butt!
I'd really like a level code or save feature. Can't find enough time to blow through all levels in one sitting.
Worked fine here as well... looking forward to trying out a fullscreen version of it.
@ Sonicron... that reaction is nothing compared to the madness of the Commodore 64 Jumpman... the bouncing could take you clear across the screen and back before you hit the bottom.
brilliant. That kicks arse, I completed it
Amusingly it's one of the only games I've played in ages (indie or not) that I would buy in a second, but it's not for saleI'd still buy a full screen, 3 times as long version though. Actually if Cas made a jumpman game, this is what I'd imagine it would turn out like

never got an install dialog from mozilla.
just the webpage, with the picture and instructions to click yes when the installer pops up.

I suspect I've caught you in the middle of work though
since I see you have a link on the main page to play also, and it didn't work either..

Yeah, I'm working on non IE plugins, but it proceedeth slowly.
I'll take this as a great compliment, artistically... but it's the kiss of death financially.Actually if Cas made a jumpman game, this is what I'd imagine it would turn out like![]()
Brilliant gameplay.
But crashed with an exception on game over.

Hey Marty,
Was that a crash when you tried to restart, or just when the game ended?
The game is fine, but seems to be in totally different class than Chuzzle.
hehe well.. if Ultratron is anything to go by then maybe not. CAS's previous games lacked and they didn't sell. Ultratron is I think the first 'tight' cas game and it sells (better) (super dudester was cool though). Hap Hazard is.. ultra tight! There you go, forget the Gold and Deluxe crap, go 'Hap Hazard - Ultra Tight Edition'Originally Posted by Raptisoft

Like the first thing you see is 2 big icons with a sideon siloette of someone lazing back in their chair with one hand on the keyboard and the other in a darkened room hunched over with gritting teethThis would simply show them relevant games on the front page and push the chuzzle type games into the smaller area's.

Great game. How many levels are there?
There's 20, with #20 not being timed.
Worked fine here. I used Avant Browser which is like an addon for IE.
When the game ended. I watched the timer run down to zero, and it immediately threw an exception.Originally Posted by Raptisoft

Yay! I managed to capture Oblivion! Phew, now normal work hours may resume.
Great game, wonderfully "retro" - back when games were games!Very frustrating and adictive at the same time, just like in the olden days. And I really like the diversity of the levels (which is definitely not retro, but still cool).
Good job.

Nice! It worked just great from my browser. I think you should do a fullscreen and longer version for all those retro jumpman junkies out there.I loved it!
