Sci-fi Colony Sim looking for Game Programmer (paid)
Take part in the indie PC game revival by making the most ambitious indie city-builder / colony sim to date. If you have an interest in emergent gameplay and freeform sandbox games, you can join Refactored Games in developing the new single player game Unclaimed World:
http://unclaimedworld-game.com
...a game which aims to break the mold by combining hard sci-fi, simulated frontier society and alien ecosystems. Presented with a carefully crafted combination of 2D environments and 3D models - no voxels or ASCII here!

The job involves working closely together with the lead programmer, breathing life into an alien world and creating human colonists that hopefully behave more rationally than the characters in “Prometheus”

Other, possibly more mundane tasks such as:

About the team and the project
Refactored Games is an indie company founded by 2 Danish brothers, one is the lead programmer and one is the artist. We started spare-time development of Unclaimed World almost 5 years ago, and went full-time earlier this year in cooperation with PortaPlay, who handles project management. We have been granted support from the Nordic Game Program which covers some of our expenses in developing the demo.
The lead programmer has relocated to Tallinn, Estonia to see the world and keep his costs down, while the artist and the rest of the team is working from an office in Copenhagen, Denmark. We keep in touch every day using SVN, Skype and remote desktop software.
Right now the programmer is working on the game systems for a new prototype, while the artist is pushing the graphics to its limit, preparing a new teaser video which will spearhead the hype campaign and revive the dormant community who have been waiting patiently.
We expect to launch the game as prepaid open-beta, in Q2, 2013.
