    Default A good mailer program

    Hi all,

I've been using a program called 1st Mass Mailer to do newsletters and whatnot. Not a bad program-- you just run it, and it can tell when someone has entered subscribe or unsubscribe into the subject line, and puts them on or takes them off your list.

It doesn't seem to work with my new server, so I'm looking to get a different mail program. Can anyone recommend a good program with the same functionality?

Sounds more like a mailing list, but anyway, I've always found Mercury to extremely handy for many purposes. Not sure if it will fit exactly what you need, but it's worth looking over.

Er, yeah... to clarify, I'm looking for a mailing list program that can automatically handle responses with SUBSCRIBE/UNSUBSCRIBE in the subject line.

You might want to search the indie basics forum, John... This has been covered a million times... Recently too... Anyway, most of us agree that a service like ymlp, ezine director, or zinester is the way to go...

Oops, sorry Mike... I search with the word "mailbomber" and didn't come up with anything. Hark, I shall head there now, most chastened.

Mercury does handle mailing lists with the responses you have mentioned. I think someone just mention other programs as well.
