    Earn Commission Selling GEOM

Poole, Dorset UK - May 10, 2005 - Indiepath a UK based independent developer and publisher of PC video games has announced the Indiepath affiliate programme.

Indiepath offers the opportunity to other software developers and publishers to sell Indiepath products from their host web sites in return for a commission on sales. GEOM is the first title available in this programme with others to follow.

Affiliates will earn a minimum of 30% commission for every game sale that originates from their site, even if the customer does not purchase immediately. Successful affiliates will be offered higher commission rates to reward success.

Indiepath utilises affiliate technology offered by Plimus, eSellerate and BMT Micro. All systems utilise tracking mechanisms that assure you are credited with the sales you initiate and deserve.

For custom builds, proprietary trial and purchase wrapper requirements please contact Indiepath at affiliates@indiepath.com

Further information on the affiliate programme and the affiliate kit are now available from http://www.geomgame.com/affiliates.htm

Using esellerate for your affiliate system is a very bad idea. Their system does not support cookies. So it's almost impossible to keep track of affiliated information. The EST is a big joke imho, i receive so many EST updates that i gave up on redownloading and reuploading. ( it's too much maintenance to keep them up to date ).

Serious affiliates will only consider regnow and plimus. ( maybe bmt if you only have 1 product to sell... ).

    EST does utilise cookies.

As a backup to the primary tracking method (writing affiliate information
to the registry), EST files also write to a cookie when launched.
When the user bypasses the product’s integrated purchase features and
instead buys the product through your eSellerate web store, cookie
information (if present) is used to credit the affiliate for the sale.

Yes EST use cookies, but nobody will bother downloading and re-uploading new versions every time you release a new one...

The problem is that not many people bother with EST., for normal affiliation ( redirect or so ) it doesn't.
For example, let's say i want to "affiliate-redirect" 1000 of my visitors to your site, i can't.

    Thanks for the feedback.

I'd better have a good look at the other two as alternatives.

There was a thread on that issue by DFG if i remember well, i think it was on the old dexterity forums though ( they started to see affiliate sales from people who switched from esellerate to plimus and sales from people who switched from regnow to esellerate suddently disappeared ) , i can't find it though...
