Site Admins: Can you approve an account please?
Hi, I got an email from someone who tried to register back in 2010 (gameengineer) and has been emailing the admins recently to get access. Can you resend the verification email? Thanks.
He said he got a response from someone. Many thanks.
Oh it turns out the response was from me, not actually a response from admins. He still needs help. Here's what he told me:
"It might be helpful to know that I signed up with that username on 03-04-2010. My inbox continually has one message which is:
"$bbuserinfo[username], you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons:
You are a newly registered member and still under the enforced 48 hour lurker period. If you have something to announce or project you would like feedback on you can post it in the News, Announcements & Feedback Requests Forum. All other forums will requires you wait 48 hour before being able to post. So take it easy, read some threads and get familiar with the community and the resources posted here. If you need access sooner (someone talking about your company and you want to represent yourself?) send a Private Message to one of the forum administrators.
Your user account may not have sufficient privileges to access this page. Are you trying to edit someone else's post, access administrative features or some other privileged system?
If you are trying to post, the administrator may have disabled your account, or it may be awaiting activation."
Obviously its been over 48 hours since I signed up. I thought well maybe I got a verification email that I didn't respond to back then so it never verified me and for some reason my posts to the admin in the "Comments" page are not reaching them. So I created a new registration even with a different email address so it would look like a completely new person. I never received a verification email (if I was supposed to) and its been longer than 48 hours with that account and it does not have write privileges either.
