I've just uploaded a brand new demo for my upcoming platformer game, Dirk Dashing 2: E.V.I.L Eye!
Dirk Dashing 2 is scheduled for release on June 30. At this point, the main storyline is done, and pre-order customers can play through the entire game!
This version features a whole heap of enhancements, bug fixes, and gameplay tweaks. If you want to see the full list of changes, trot on over to dirkdashing.com. But here are the highlights:
* Night vision goggles are now introduced in the 2nd level, so all of Dirk's stealth tactics are now available from the start of the game
* Guards now shoot blindly in the dark at anything they hear (Normal and Hard skill levels only), so if you decide to turn out the lights and go "invisible", you better be quiet too!
* Major revisions to the 2nd level to improve gameplay
* Lots of little changes to all of the levels, to try to balance ammo, health, and gadgets for the 3 skill levels
* Lots of bug fixes and tweaks to polish gameplay
Over the next few weeks, I'll be finishing the last 2 secret levels, updating the menu graphics, and tweaking/polishing.
Download the updated demo and give it a try!

Looks like a perfect fit for an online flash game.
Yes. It should be available in both places. I've been trying to "direct" my Dirk-related traffic to dirkdashing.com so I can get better Dirk-specific metrics and also do some (hopefully) more effective Dirk-specific marketing on the site's home page.
Sorry it took a while to reply. I'm super busy getting ready for the final release.
I released another update to the game this morning. This adds the final 2 secret levels to the full version, and introduces a new type of guard wearing riot gear. He has a shield to deflect Dirk's tranquilizer darts and a helmet to prevent Dirk from jumping on his head to knock him out - 2 of Dirk's new abilities that made the game a bit too easy, in my opinion. But he is still vulnerable from the rear (if you can sneak up behind him), and he can be put to sleep with stun gas grenades. This gives added purpose to the stealth tactics, and also provides a use for the gas grenades.
The riot guards will also be the ones who respond when the alarm goes off, so this is an added incentive to be stealthy so you don't trip the alarm. You don't want to release a bunch of these guys into the level!
At this point, the gameplay is pretty much done. I won't be making any significant changes to the levels or gameplay before v1.0, except for minor balancing tweaks (like adding an extra health kit or ammo) based on feedback from players.
There will probably be one more beta before the final release. I'm still waiting on the final mission summary graphic from my comic artist Mike that will appear at the end when you've beaten the game. I still have some minor bugs to fix, and some tweaks to the game's control scheme that I want to make. I need to bring the instruction screens up to date. And there's some more polishing I want to do, like updating the menu graphics.
Meanwhile, have fun with the new demo!
