    Default Anka HD for iPad

Hi, BFG has just released Anka for iPad. I ported Anka from PC to iPad. This is the first time that I'm using a publisher for my iOS game, but hopefully opting for BFG was the right choice for this game. To my own surprise, the game is working wonderfully well on iPad and sometimes, I find it even more fun than the original PC version. Try it, the freemium version allow you to play the beginning for free.

Hi jc, hope you do a lot better with this next roll of the dice.

If BFG can't get a game like this moving then there's no hope for any of us!

    Congrats JC.

Looks like we both have apps come out on the same day! If you don't mind me asking, did you develop the game before taking it to BFG? Or did they contract you from day 1 to develop?

    Cheers,
    Jamie.

Anka is an "old" PC game (2009). BFG did distribute the original PC version. I ask them if they wanted to distributed the iPad version (before it was ported) and they accepted. You obviously need to have a game that will fit their audience.

Hey thanks for resurrecting this "old" thread. It was my first experience on iOS with BFG and I'm please with the outcome. It's always very nice when an old IP is bringing some fresh income. I'm currently considering porting Anka to iPhone (way smaller screen, way more works to do than the iPad version) as it might be worth the effort and if BFG is up for it, I'll go with them too.

Lol, d'oh! I only saw the thread in latest posts :-D

Thanks for letting us know how it went.

So, hypothetically speaking, do you think it was better releasing through a big publisher rather than going it alone?
(look away now BFG reps )
