I like the non-realistic aspect of your 3D environment. Nowadays all devellopers try to exploit engine gimmicks and games end up looking totally similar and bland.
    Keep it up.

    Thx!
Glad you noticed. I'm going for a semi - real, but exaggerated look.

    Cave level video -

SKY BATTLES - iOS iPhone / iPad / iTouch game work in progress. Cave level includes obstacles like doorways that must be hit precisely to unlock, death rays that must be maneuvered, missiles that can be dodged and machinery that requires some decent flying skills.

Thx Manuel. I like the level with the water/dragons and squid the best at the moment.
Next level I plan to tackle will probably have an arctic theme.

Nice game, i am making a space shooter game, let me ask something, your world is free to fly or have limitations to where the player can go?

In single player mode, there is a limit on the left/right edges of the map.
In multiplayer mode, there is no limit and the player is free to travel in full around the map.

    Good luck on your game!

This is looking really cool! Nice job! Two critiques about the sound (from the cave video): the missiles have no "tail" in the sound. It just stops abruptly which takes away from the impact and power of the explosions. Consider using a different sound or tweaking this one with some reverb and such to help smooth out the ending. Perhaps having a cool, looping "whoosh" flying sound which is tied to the missile so it attenuates in a 3D environment (depending on your tech) could also really help on the front end - before the impact. Also the music track isn't looping as well as it could.

All in all, however, great stuff! Best of luck with it.

Thanks Nate for the comments! I think I sped up those sounds and they'll need tweaking for sure...
