Hi Mate
I am selling a game at the moment, and I will be willing to test your process and model on the gamer-supplier side if you want
Just contact me
Cheers
I'm the owner and developer of NoCashGames and one thing I'm missing is down to earth, harsh/honest thoughts about our site and the whole system.
The idea behind it is to allow game developers offer their game free of charge while still earning on it.
Our gateway allows your users to complete surveys or download other software in return for points. After they collect enough points they get the game for free.
It works like this:
You put our button on your website -> user registers on your customized gateway -> they collect points -> our system gives them a gift/activation code.
I've put a lot of hours, sweat and sleepless nights into it's development so I'd really really appreciate your feedback so that I can improve it and make it easier for users and game owners to use.
EDIT: forgot to give you the link:

GeexGames thanks for helping me beta test it!
GeexGames also notified me he tried completing offers through the test9 account but couldn't get any points credited, so I'll explain the reason for that here:
Our gateway is country specific because of our advertiser's requirements. This means that when users register they set their country to specify which offers will be displayed in their gateway. The "test9" account was set for United States, so if you're from anywhere else you won't be able to get any points credited under that account.
I could implement a system to automatically show only offers for your country that gets detected based on user's IP, however this method isn't 100% reliable - so for now we're letting the user select their country when they register.
I hope this clears things up.

Armando, I salute you for trying to solve a tough problem.
As a developer I have to wonder if I'm not better served by going with Trialpay, Superrewards (or any other micro-transaction system), Open Candy (get paid directly for downloads) or embedding Mochi-Ads (or another ad service). These companies already have gazillions of sponsors (a non-trivial problem to solve) so... what would I get for using your service instead of one of the above options that is already up and running?
What is unique about your service over, say Super Rewards, which seamlessly accomplishes what you are talking about by allowing users to buy virtual coins either with cash, by buying other items or by completing surveys?
I agree, those are all valid concerns before trying our service out. My goal is to make the whole process as simple as possible for gamers while providing game developers with the highest earnings per visitor possible.
Ultimately game developers can always try different services and see which one suits their needs best. Eg: the way I see TrialPay it's more suited for higher ticket sales whereas I try to aim at sales that are under $15.
I've developed it strictly with gamers in mind and I work closely with each developer to bring their own in game elements into our transaction process in order to make the process as seamless and "smooth" as possible.
Unlike other services our process is not rigid and I'm prepared to do any changes to design of any step of our process a game developer might request.
Currently we have one of the lowest rates in the industry (only 0.3% fee per conversion), offer a 1 month free trial period where we don't even take the 0.3% fee and we also offer special customization for each client and concentrate solely on low ticket sales - most of indie games fit this description.
Basically I'm introducing an alternative to current solutions and trying to bring something fresh and better to the table - however that's up to the game owners to decide.

I've used Trialpay for years and I don't think this is true at all. The cheaper your minimum cash threshold is the more potential sponsors you get with TrialPay and, since they pay the full amount of their sponsorship, you can often get more than you are asking for. For example, I once got $60 on a $19.99 Real Estate Empire sale via a TrialPay sponsor.
I still don't fully understand your service or offer - can you give me a concrete example? For instance, I'm getting prepared to rewrap Dungeon Brawl and release it. I could do a version that I sell that starts the player with 1000 gold instead of ~8 (it's randomized a little). If I was doing that with your service how would I get paid?
When you register with our service you give us your desired cost per sale. This is the cost of your game. We then convert that amount into points. If your game costs $10 the user would need to collect 20 points in our system.
Users would then see which ads give them enough points and would see their progress instantly as he completes different offers.
Once they collect enough points they get access to your game and you get credited with one sale.
To start using it you'd just put our "Get it free by seeing ads" button on your site which would enable users to collect points in order to get a download link or an activation code for your version of the game.
I might have been developing it for so long that the whole system is crystal clear to me while this might not be the case for people that see it for the first time, so I apologize for any confusion.

I like new business models so that's why I'm not leaving you alone on this, thanks for bearing with me.
How many sponsors do you currently have?
An observation? If I've got to watch 15 minutes of advertising to earn a $15 game then each advertiser is spending $1.00 per 1 minute ad. - maybe that's a fair value but it doesn't seem to match up with the very little you would get paid for those same plays on Mochi. The other issue is that stacking all the ads up at once is a bit weird from a user perspective - I'm concerned that a user Is going to devalue my game and feel like they might as well skip the advertising/busy work and go pirate the thing since it's "free" anyway. This line of thought leads me to think that the more traditional ad. model of get it free with embedded ads or pay a premium might make more sense.
What I would be willing to do would be to put your service on my site somewhere to see if people would earn virtual coins in exchange for cash. Do you have a Flash offer panel or a web interface so what I see above could be placed on a website?
