Congrats Reflexive and other indie developers

The awards ceremony was really cool tonight, and I wanted to congratulate everyone that got into the IGF and won some awards. Reflexive won a few and was pretty damned good.. And even my often-complaining-about-the-controls-game Gish won. It was a good night tonight with both IGF and Game Developer's Choice awards.

Now, if only I could have recognized IndieGamer.com peeps at the W, it would have topped the cake, but there were way too many GDC people there to know who was IG.com people and who was not.

Hi jim we were all sitting up front by the entrance near the bar. At about 9:45 we realized it was too crouded and went down the street to a deli. Sorry we missed you and Congrats to the Wik team as well. They took home the grand prize (of 15k)

I can see that being a problem. Might I suggest a sticker/logo on the passes to help ID us indiegamer folk. Of course, I'm assuming the passes are similar to the E3 ones (not been to GDC myself,... yet), where they hang around your neck in a transparent plastic envalope. It's a shame I couldn't make it this year. The Dan/Greg/Russel party (i.e. roundtable) sounded like something cool to be a part of.

Aaanyways... back to wark... work... yeah.

My wife and I walking to the W at 9:55 seeing a group of guys on the street:
Wife: Maybe they already left the W, and this group of guys might be them.
Me: What makes you say that?
Wife: They *look* like computer geeks.
Me: GDC is going on - *everyone* will look like computer geeks.



Are there any other meetups during GDC?
