    Default Facebook programming

Hi, I'm looking for a programmer to make a very simple FB app. As I've mentioned before, my wife owns www.AudioLark.com which is a smallish publishing company producing romantic audio book titles in lovely, DRM free, MP3 format. For promotional purposes, we want to give away some books and would like to have an FB app. that will allow interested users to give a free book of their choosing to all of their friends.

We would want to make sure that the receivers email is unique (thus we need a simple PHP back end on our server along with a mySql database that stores all of the receiver emails) and to have FB functionality to allow the user to go through their friends list and to send books to any and all of their friends that they care to along with a little note of their choosing. We also need an HTML landing page where the user can choose a book from a scrolling list as well as select whether they want to opt-in to our mailing list or not - if they opt-in then there is a simple PHP call to make to update our mailing list database with said users email address.

I'm too busy to ramp up on FB programming right now or I would do it. That said, I need to get up to speed on FB programming at some point so part of the job would be, after installation, to be available to potentially answer an email or three from me in the future when I need a little FB hand holding as I ramp up and/or as I review your code.

Payment is upon completion via. Paypal. We will be posting this job in a few other places and looking to start when the winning bidder is able, the sooner the better. Send me an email if interested along with a description of what you have done in the past that is like this, lennard you know the symbol rustyaxe.com

I've found somebody for the job!

Interestingly I didn't get inundated with offers - I had maybe 8 total candidates to choose from and only one from this board. I decided to go with the candidate from this board - they weren't the least expensive but the cost delta wasn't prohibitive and I felt that person understood my needs the best/had the best chance of giving me what I needed.

The app. should have a first run in the coming month or so - if anybody is interested I'll try and provide some metrics about whether the $ spend was worth the marketing/sales boost we receive.

    Thumbs up

Do share your experience hiring from this forum. I have posted an ad for pixel art and got replies from 7-8 graphic artists. Hired one and been very happy with my choice.

Will do. He's been working on it around other jobs. So far he has delivered another little bit of code that I needed for Endless Empire and we are just getting him set up today with Facebook account details.
