Seriously? With what? I kinda skimmed over parts of their talk because a lot of it seemed too bland. Although, it might just be because I'm not someone who cares about another Uncharted game.

I think Microsoft and Sony are both scrambling to try and incorporate body motion into their consoles. I really don't trust either of them considering the past history we've seen with camera enabled peripherals.

E3 sucks... It's nothing like it used to be. I do remember going back in the day as a retail manager, and it was quite the big deal. Huge space, huge sums of money being spent, and a lot of effort being directed at showing everyone else up by giving away the best swag

Maybe it's my imagination but it's been a total yawn-fest all around so far.

I agree. Overall I think MS had the best conference, but that's just because they had the best presentation. And all of the motion controllers are being hyper spun into more than they really are; I guess we can blame Nintendo for starting that in the first place.

I think the only things I'm super excited about right now are Metroid Other M, Shadow Complex, and Uncharted 2. There are a bunch more cool games, but those are the only three where I'm thinking "when can I pre-order?!?!"...

EDIT: And the new MGS PSP, but that's just because I'm an MGS fanboy

It looks like Sony is trying to attracts more varied devellopers to its new download-only PSP, with lowered prices for the devkits. I call that "the iPhone syndrome".

If it's anything like the kit they made for the PS3, I wouldn't expect anything out of it.

They're talking about the licensee devkits, not the Net Yaroze-type things. An "80% cost reduction" puts it at around the price of a DS devkit IIRC.

What kinda got me a little po'ed about Nintendos keynote (besides being a waste of time) was how loosely they used the term "developers". What I mean by that is they act like they allow anyone to dev. for their system. Maybe it was just me but when they started shooting off about how they are open to the developers and are making things better for the developers it kinda implied that they have lots of developers... bah I'm probably not making much sense but if you seen the Nintendo keynote did you feel like they were implying that they are open to developers?

On the PSP-Go thing I think it would be awesome if sony opened the app store to indie dev's! As for sony's keynote I think they were the best out of the three consoles. They showed off some really impressive stuff and actually had a good presentation!

As for the motion sensors I think xbox and ps3 both have valid prototypes. They could have been worse. (I was impressed with both). As for Nintendos vitality thing I think that was fail... no tech demo and honestly I think it's neat but not keynote worthy.

(If it matters I do not own a PS3 or Xbox just Wii and don't even use it much. So my opinion on sony being good isn't biased. I thought Nintendo was gunna rock the show but they didn't in my eyes. I watched E3 mainly to see if they released any good developer news.)

    Default E3 09 live on G4

The input is simply a live HD video captured from a camcoder.

I’d use either Sony PMW-EX1 or Sony HVR-A1E/A1P, send the the video to end users via LAN. My question: is there any hardware-based video rendering systems cheap of course to compress the real time raw video first?
