hey, nice artwork. i love the pixel work u have there, i dont understand why u have pixel work combined to normal bitmap images. look at the waves. they are not pixel work.
the rest its verry cool.
Hi guys, I've actually picked up quite a bit of work here already but I thought that putting my portfolio up here couldn't hurt. I'm a games artist of 5 years experience in developing games for the mobile, mobile, Nintendo DS, casual PC, iPhone, and even an indie board game.
If you need 2d graphics of any kind:
Environments and Landscapes
characters
GUI design
Do take a look at my portfolio and hit me up on ryan dot sumo at gmail.com. I work relatively fast and with affordable rates, so please don't hesitate to contact me for work.

I would like to vouch for Ryan here. He is someone to consider if you are looking for fast and efficient work.
Nice work!

Everything in life takes only one second to learn, and a lifetime to perfect...
Ryan made graphics to our iphone's game.
He works fast and hard and we really happy to work with him.

I, too, will vouch for Ryan. Ryan did much of the artwork for my latest game, The Adventures of Rick Rocket, including the spaceships, asteroids, and main menu, and also helped me improve my cartoon drawing of Rick Rocket himself.
Ryan is a hard worker, and a good listener. He is very responsive to feedback and constructive criticism. Many times I asked for changes, and he turned them around in a day or two. And his whole work attitude is positive and upbeat - his desire was clearly to help me bring my game vision to life, and not impose his own vision of what the game should look like. I really appreciated that.
I was also impressed how he adapted his art style to fit with mine, as I had already drawn the main character and developed some of the background scenery (nebulae and cartoony planet textures). At the end, all of the graphics in the game look like they were done by the same person!
One other comment I'll make about Ryan: when I was shopping around for an artist and receiving responses to my job postings, Ryan was the only one who submitted a sketch for me. Based on the style of artwork I said I was looking for in my job posting, he took the time to draw a sketch of Rick Rocket to show how he could satisfy what I was looking for. The fact that he took the time to do that, not knowing if he would even get the job, said a lot by itself. But the other thing was that his sketch captured everything I had said that I wanted, and although it was not a drawing that I used for the game, the sketch told me that here was an artist who could listen to what I wanted and work with me to realize my vision. I really appreciated that!
Ryan definitely goes the extra mile, and I saw that all throughout the two months that we worked together. You'll definitely get your money's worth out of Ryan! I highly recommend him, and I will be using him myself on future projects.
Yep, Ryan did most of the artwork for New Star Grand Prix. Worked fast and happy to amend things until I was happy. Recommended.![]()
Really cool looking art!

I've commissioned work from Ryan on an ongoing project, and was extremely happy with the result. He's fast and professional. I'm very much looking forward to working with him again.![]()
Thanks guys, and I'll return the compliment as well. Any artist who happens to come across work from these folks should rest assured that they're in good hands!
Good looking stuff - You might want to ditch the pool UI. It doesn't fit with the other stuff - the quality is lower.
The problem with climbing up on your cross is that some jerk with a hammer and a bucket of nails is bound to walk by. Eventually.
Thanks for the crit. It's due for an update pretty soon, maybe at the end of the month.
Great work! Have you done any X-Box games yet?
By xbox I'm assuming you mean XBLA or XNA? None so far, though I am doing some pixel animation for a title that I believe will be on XNA.
Updated my portfolio to show off some of the work I've done in the past few months.![]()

Just wanted to say that I recommend Ryan as well, he created some great art for us. He works very fast and I received daily updates from him, which really shows dedication to his work.
Thanks Ryan!![]()
Thanks Tor, it was a pleasure working with you too!
On another note, I just realized how ridiculously outdated (and even linked wrongly) my first post was. It's a miracle anyone managed to contact me at all! That's all fixed now though, so please have a look at my updated work. Thanks!

Another "thumbs-up" from me for Ryan's work.
Working with him right now, and he's producing some high quality art for me and is pretty good at determining what I'm *really* wanting.
I worked with Ryan on a project for about six months, and I gotta say he was awesome. I received daily updates and got plenty of help fleshing out designs that I wasn't sure about myself. And not only did I get top notch art, Ryan even helped out with marketing and promotion - way above and beyond the call of duty!
I can't recommend Ryan enough to anyone after some high-quality game art.
Hi all, just wanted to show off some of the games I've worked on recently that are coming out soon!
Sexy Adventures: An NSFW (but in a funny, not trashy way) adventure puzzle game for the PC where I did the Environment artwork.
Spacechem: An engineering game where I did most of the artwork, incuding backgrounds, story art, boss design, building design, etc.
Please do check em out so you can see my work in-game!

Just wanted to announce that Spacechem has just been released! It's one of my latest games to work on and one that I had a big hand in developing, so I'm quite proud of it. Buy a copy and support us!
I've also revamped my game art portfolio, such that it shows off different projects and the conceptualization behind them. This hopefully will give people an insight into what goes into making the artwork for a game.
Lastly, I'm put a up a new, separate portfolio specifically for illustrations, in case any of you are looking for static illustrations/avatars, etc.
Happy new year to everyone!

Just a quick post after a long absence. I've updated my games portfolio a little bit with some Star Rocket screens and Concept designs.
I have a new illustration portfolio where I hope to do more illustration and concept work in addition to the in game sprites and artwork I've been doing.
I'm currently working on Prison Architect with Introversion Software right now, but I am available to accept some small side projects, preferably of the illustration variety, so please do get in touch with me if you're interested in my work!

Hey all, haven't posted in a bit. Just wanted to check in and announce (kind of late of late) that I've been working with Introversion Software to create Prison Architect:
They're on paid Alpha right now so in case any of you are interested in helping the development process you can buy an Alpha copy of the game.
I'm working on the game every other month so I'm open to accepting small projects that I can work on in the in between months. Just drop me a line if you're interested!
