Default Looking for a few indie game developers for a pilot project...

I work at a company called Raptr. One of our goals is to provide a means for new and upcoming games to get visibility on our network, as well as other interesting game developer related features. I'm fishing for a few indie game developers who would be willing to talk about their needs in this area, as well as possibly participate in a pilot project.

    Here's some example Raptr pages:

    http://raptr.com/game/PC/Cave_Story
    http://raptr.com/game/Flash/Desktop_Tower_Defense

    Here's our "about" page:

    http://raptr.com/info/about

please contact me either via PM, reply here, or directly at andrew at raptr dot com.

I've been an indie gamer for years, and my heart is to find a way to get upcoming games more visibility and give developers a place to build a community around their games... We're just starting out so you have a chance to help shape that.

Very interesting website, reminds me of Twitter or something.

What do you need from indie game developers?

So it's kind of like Steam, minus the DRM/distribution platform and with a little more social/web 2.0 functionality? Is there any cost to developers or players? How will you monetize the service?

    I like the idea.

I've had two bad experiences with the Raptr system. Twice now, members who joined had their email lists used to send out spam. I know because I was spammed with 'Your friend wants you to join!'. When I asked those two friends, they both said it was an accident. Now I'm not happy about a site that allows accidental spamming of member's email lists.

I won't claim that this is a malicious set up on Raptr's system, but it annoyed me enough to refrain from ever visiting Raptr.
