    Default Imphenzia Soundtrack

    Artist : Imphenzia Soundtrack
    Site : http://soundtrack.imphenzia.com

I've been making music for the past 14 years mainly focusing on the electronic genre but lately also moved into the orchestral music with hybrids to bridge the gap between the two styles.

Although my speciality is electronic music (trance/dance/melodic/chill/relax) I also do retro-style chip music (chip), retro-remixing (high quality versions with retro-feel). With the creation of 'Imphenzia Soundtrack' I can also offer orchestral, mood and ambient music.

I recommend this guy, he makes some great trance which I've purchased before + there's some cool free stuff on the site.

I seem to be having issues with your website audio player not playing anything (hang on buffer?). FYI.

    Thanks for info.

Must be some flash-player related issues. I will update the site and make the clips downloadable as well in addition to the flash player if anyone else is experiencing problems with this.

    I highly recommend Imphenzia.

I stumbled upon Imphenzia's music in his indie games years ago, and absolutely loved his music. I loosely promised I would be in touch for music when I developed my own indie game, not knowing if I would ever get the chance. Years later, 2008, I am proud to have started my own video game, with an Imphenzia soundtrack!

    Thanks for the kind feedback

Just a quick note to mentioned that I've recently updated the web site a fair amount.

Just a quick bump and recommendation for Imphenzia. I just commissioned 5 exclusive short looping tracks for my first game and Stefan was very quick and professional, and the tracks sound great.

It's a tile matching puzzle game called Quatrain. It's playable right now, but still needs a lot of work. Most likely I'll post a link to a demo for some feedback here in the next month or so.

Heya Imphenzia, I was just wondering about if there are any unmentioned restrictions/stipulations on use of your sound effects? Can these be used in both commercial or non-commercial games? I often want to make small adjustments to sounds for use in my games, and want to know if it's okay to change the formats, and do things like modify the pitch etc. Also there is no mention of whether you require your website/name to be included in the credits, though I tend to be fine including that info (at least name, website depends on the product).

Also for both music and SFX, is there a stipulation on whether you need accreditation in promo videos, or is it okay if only the game that these sounds are in have the proper credits within the actual product versus the promo vids.

Hey, I know that melody from "retro_remix - melodic" - it's from The Great Gianna Sisters (music by legendary composer Chris Hьlsbeck)! oO

But all in all great music you're offering there. And really great move to offer soundeffects for free.

    Hello!

    Sound Effects:
You may use the sound effects for both commercial and non-commercial games totally free, no strings attached You can also modify them to your needs.

The one thing that isn't allowed is to re-destribute or sell them. For Sound Effects there isn't a requirement to credit or link to Imphenzia Sound Effects - but I would greatly appreciate IF you choose to do so of course!

    Music:
When it comes to using the non-exclusive music in non-commercial games crediting is required - you can read more about it here: http://www.imphenzia.com/soundtrack/nonexclusive.php

Non-exclusive for commercial games and all forms of exclusive music has to be licensed.

@JohnRawman - yes, it's Gianna Sisters for sure, If you want the full remix it's available for free here: http://www.soundclick.com/util/downl...cfm?ID=6197470

Just to give an idea of the power an Imphenzia soundtrack and sound effects can add to game, check out our new trailer featuring both:

Duality ZF (Xbox 360 2D Shooter) April 2009 Trailer

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7TkG6J2CWvU

When we recorded the footage for this trailer, it had to be recorded without the music, with only the sound effects, and the game felt... blah. Unreal what this soundtrack does for our game.

Imphenzia did music and environment tracks for my game (in development) and I can say that I am very happy with his service. His tracks sounds great and fit the game settings. Good work, Stefan!

    Update:

To make it simpler (and much cheaper) for you, the 2000 game/license limit has been totally removed for both exclusive and non-exclusive music. Upon licensing a track it can now be used in a game without the need to keep track of anything - and the price should be very competitive indeed!

Since my purchase of the complete composer's edition of East West Quantum Leap libraries I am creating more orchestral styled music.

Added to my portfolio is a demo reel of fantasy (and somewhat medieval) music:

    http://www.imphenzia.com/tmp/Imphenz..._Demo_Reel.mp3

I created it to demonstrate some various moods, e.g.
Start – 0:22: Casual, uneventful game play
    0:22 – 0:32: Tension rising
    0:32 – 0:48: Under Attack!
    0:48 – 1:05: Heroic Battle!
    1:05 – 1:20: Sad and lonely
    1:20 – 1:36: Cheerful
    1:36 – 1:52: Melodic moment
    1:52 – End: Emotional ending

Edit: I've also made this track and another orchestral piece available on youtube:

I just received a custom soundtrack from Imphenzia for a new game I'm working on. It turned out better than I expected, and was excellent value.

As I mentioned in the Chat forum I've recently relaunched a totally new design of the Imphenzia Soundtrack web site and there is currently 219 pieces of music in the non-exclusive library where you may license music instantly allowing direct download to WAV, OGG, and MP3 versions.

Today I have also started with a new concept of Level Kits that I describe more in detail in my recent blog post on the topic. The release for today is Battle Zone Level Kit which is 9 different variations of a track for various game stages such as Get Ready, Life Lost, Game Over, Menu, Stage (Game Play Loops), Stage Completed, etc.

I'm also still doing exclusive stuff if you need custom made music for your game.

    Update August 16, 2011:
Two level kits released, check them out here: Once Upon a Platform Level Kit (Retro) and Battle Zone Level Kit (Orchestral)
