2D Artist Needed for Casual Game
Hello!
I am ultimately in need of 10 to 20 images, optimized for rasterization at 80x80 pixels, to be delivered in SVG format or other format that can be imported into Illustrator or Inkscape, ultimately to be used as assets in a Flash casual game.
Each image will represent a game piece that will consist of an aspect of nature. Examples images include a drop of water, a wave, a flame, a fire, a leaf, a tree, a piece of coal, an ice crystal, etc. The look I am going for is clean and sharp, with visuals that are eye popping and optimized for 80x80 pixels. For an example of the "style" of graphics I am striving for, please see the following images, which are icons designed by www.iconka.com.

In addition, I need a few different "sets" of square tiles upon which the game pieces can be overlaid. For example, one square tile might consist of a crystalline rectangle with rounded corners. Another square tile might consist of an old Mayan stone tablet. The square tiles are mostly background graphics to add to the visual flair. The images of nature will be overlaid on top of square tile. Please note that since the square tiles must be 80x80 pixels, the images of nature should probably be a bit smaller than 80x80 pixels so that the images of nature do not obstruct the outer edges of the square tiles.
Ideally, I would also like someone to design the background image for the game board, along with user interface elements (like buttons, score, etc.) That can be follow-up work if I have budget left over.
Using an hourly rate, I would like to commission the winning bidder to create two game pieces. Once I've seen that the graphics meet my approval, I would like to order the remainder of the game pieces, to continue at an hourly rate. If bidders have strong examples of artwork in their portfolio that clearly achieves the look I am striving for, I will all of the game pieces up front, without requiring to see two completed pieces first.
