What special equipment would you need to make a game trailer? If a game trailer is composed solely of in-game footage, and most trailers (even for mainstream games) are, you don't need anything other than video capture software and a computer, no?
I'm sure most of you guys probably either make your own or go without, but for those few that hire out, or have researched hiring out, do you know of any companies that have experience (and preferably, the equipment) in game trailer creation? I'm having a hard time finding them myself. Thanks guys.
Brian Cable. Released Proximity 2 on the iPhone, and some flash games. Produced several console games.

How about the skill to create a trailer which doesn't make your game look worse than it actually is? I've seen a lot of amateur trailers recently which make the game in question look terrible. Making a good trailer is not the same as making a good game.
Cableshaft, I think most people (for better or worse) do their own these days. Ideally you might want to look into professional video guys who'll have the editing skills to make something which works. After a quick google I found these guys, who apparently did the trailer for The Witcher... but I think they might be a bit too high endIt depends on what it is you're after, though
