Lightbulb Puppygames New Website Live & Dudester for MacOS X!

The Puppygames new website has just gone live with a new fresher look and feel. We're now celebrating the launch of our second game, Super Dudester, which marks a turning point in our history. We've also got a little fun suprise on the site for those with Java installed

Super Dudester is now officially on sale for Mac OS X, Windows, and even Linux.

Alien Flux is still available for those with eclectic hardcore tastes.

Firefox users please note that you might have a bit of trouble launching files right now. View the page in IE or Safari for the best results.

Hehe, I think that's HunterSD's dodgy applet coding There are a few little bugs to fix in it...

Love the new site - great look. No links section?

Puppy Invaders if quite fun. Great idea to have that running on your site. One suggestion - put a "Use Keyboard to Select" on the buying screen, I clicked with the mouse for a while before I remembered the keyboard.

Opera 7.54 sees a number of the buttons as disabled too.

Otherwise, I like the look that you have come up with. Very neat.
    cheers

Great site, so much more accessible than the former design. I'm using Firefox and had no problem starting SuperDudester. Good job, Cas AF and SuperDudester are the reason I decided to stick to Java for our games development.

    Good luck!

Running it on OSX the webstart still shows a nasty warning. I don't know if you have done all the signing stuff yet. I get:
Warning: Failed to verify the authenticity of this certificate. No assertions can be made of the origin or validity of the code.

It is highly recommended not to install and run this code.
Also the Buy Now button still doesn't work for me. The game exits when I click it but nothing else comes up.

I think Chaz is going to put some buy links in at some point over the weekend.

Dustin - what's your setup there?

Congratulations! I like the look of your new site. Looks very professional. One suggestion though -- Make the images of Super Dudester and Alien Flux links to your "more info" page. It took me a bit to find that link. Hope the sales keep "sailing in"!

IMHO you aughtta just get rid of the java webstart versions altogether. Since I installed that test version of dudester it's been nothing but a nightmare sitting on my desktop. That technology might be a good idea, but it's not finished. Put it back in the oven and let it bake a while and maybe try it again later.

    Default Puppy invaders: total score

I like the idea with puppy invaders. I just played it again and had fun. But to get the most out of it, you should definitely add a total score and maybe highscore listing. I know you want to make money with your games and not give to much away for free (see the demo discussion), but as a marketing tool I think it would be great because people will come back more often to your page and some of them might try your game. It also helps to remember your site.

Instead, our next full game is Puppy Invaders Deluxe, a whizzy openGL-lovelified fullscreen zapfest. Should be out by Easter. Hahaha.
