An interesting marketing study

Now, without all the details in hand I make the following news announcement into a marketing study.

This Starpeace and the other Starpeace who has posted here before are not the same company. The games are the same, having been liscenced non-exclusively.

Starpeace 2 and Beyond Earth are identicle products in a market with a very small demand quantity. Watch the battle and fireworks ensue closely, see which competitive models work best. In the end, I think only one of these games will be left standing by next year. It will be interesting to see which one... currently Starpeace 2 has some major advanatages:

First Mover: Despite getting the code second they got the game out first.
Name Recognition: Starpeace was the old name. This gives them an advantage to be recognised by old fans.

Imaedia may have more capital though, so it will be a good show of how strong brand and first moving advantage is when developing similar (or in this case identicle) products vs. how important money is.

Let the show begin!

Some interesting comments, however, the game once we release it will not be identical, As far as im aware no major changes have been made to the starpeace2 game, which could be good or bad, depending on how you look at it, The origional game was not very sucessfull, this shows that things do need changing, and this is why we are carrying out extencive market research, and making the changes to ensure that the game is as popular as it can possibly be....anyway below is a more detaild outline of the project

Begin development of second game with more up to date technology

Compensation:
Anyone involoved in the first project will be given an equil share in the monhtly profits from the game, and the opportunity to work on the second game providing they pull their weight, 25% of the profits will remain in a seperate bank account to fun the second version of the game.

Anyone that wishes to do so may have a written legal contract with imaedia to confirm their involvement in the project and the terms that they are working on.

Technology:
The current game is written mostly in asp and Delphi using a database backend, Most of the coding is allready done for the current version of the game, it's simply a matter of speeding the game up and improving its stability, However we are looking to develop a second game once this game is stable, and this will be written in C++

"Earth, after the collapse of the IFEL became over populated, and industry and commerce is all run by the major companies, It is now almost impossible to establish your own business, and many millions of creative, ambitious people find themselves living out their lives working in average jobs working for the major companies on earth. Now with the re opening of the portals there is a opportunity for entrepreneurs to establish their companies, and new markets…The possibilities for these entrepreneurs are endless."

When will we realize I am always right and people should worship me as their god?

Probably never. How's SP2 doing?

Some minor server issues occasionally, but in general it's quite fine. Could definately use more players to make things more fun.
