Hi Phil, thanks for getting in touch. Feel free to contact me directly at lennard@rustyaxe.com to get faster responses.

I would potentially be interested but wary. Here are some issues to talk about:

      1. Traffic. Neither of us currently drive enough traffic (guessing from your Alexa rank) to launch such a beast. Developers are a hard lot to sell to but if you offer results and are a credible portal then they line up.

      2. An affiliate chain system would be a lot of work not only to set up but to maintain. Tracking down appropriate games or testing submissions is a lot of work also. Not insurmountable and maybe there is some kind of community/serve yourself model that we could build. But it's definitely a big issue.

      3. Tech. build out.

#3 may be avoidable by launching differently. If I was building this out on the Rusty Axe site then I would lean on BMTMicro to do split pays for me.

  • About Indie Gamer

When the original Dexterity Forums closed in 2004, Indie Gamer was born and a diverse community has grown out of a passion for creating great games. Here you will find over 10 years of in-depth discussion on game design, the business of game development, and marketing/sales. Indie Gamer also provides a friendly place to meet up with other Developers, Artists, Composers and Writers.
  • Buy us a beer!

Indie Gamer is delicately held together by a single poor bastard who thankfully gets help from various community volunteers. If you frequent this site or have found value in something you've learned here, help keep the site running by donating a few dollars (for beer of course)!
