Does anyone know about the legality of skill gaming in the US. I see that (http://www.worldwinner.com/)[Fun Technologies] which bought skilljam has an active site with cash awards for timed skill games. I thought this was illegal in about half of the states in the US. Isn't this why prizegames.com and arcadeplanet.com went out of business? Anyone know much about this?

Thanks,

Tom

Pinball games were under consideration for being banned before someone was able to show Congress or some high court (Supreme?) that pinball involved skill.

If you can win prizes based on some skills, such as dancing, sports, etc, I don't see why it would be illegal to award cash prizes for playing video games well.

But then, maybe I don't understand what was supposed to be illegal about skill gaming.

King.com is all about skill based games and it does tournaments with real $ and it is also possible to challenge people there, so playing against other players but only in skill based games.
I do assume that King.com is strong in the US but I dont know.
