I have a few game ideas that I have focused on (writing down stories, rules, what the gameplay should look and feel like, etc.) And here are just a few:

The DFL: A football game where the players consist of orcs, ogres, werewolves, zombies, and more. The playing fields themselves are dangerous to each team and they are properly called battlefields with each having it's own dangers.

Chosen: An RPG where the player has a vast line up with 17 classes and 15 races to play as. And where it has the originality where the player can challenege the gods for power, defend his own created town(s) from rampaging armies, giants, titans, and more. A game where the player gets to do more than play a character in their world, they can shape the world to their liking.

New Island: A strategy game that starts off with the death of an island owner and the people that live on the island. The player takes control of the spirit of the former island owner and helps out the inhabitants of the island so that they will not have to leave and instead can turn the island into a vast utopia.

Gore: A first person shooter that lets the player take control of an ex-cop who has lost her husband and child in an orchestrated hit. The goal that the player will reach for is inflicting the most painful attacks, the most blood-filled wounds, and gut wrenching moves to enact the revenge of the character so that the character can perform "Vengence" attacks that result in painful bone-breaking sounds and gallons of blood.

Amazing Monsters: A simple game where it is mainly used for multiplayer. Each player gets to control a different monster each with its own pros and cons. This game will be fun if ever created since it could be made as a $20 game, but if it could manage to have even a minor physics engine (for the infamous crumbling buildings) it would be near perfect.

So everybody let me know what you think of these games. And be honest and not a complete jerk cause there isn't some puzzle game in there or it just SOUNDS stupid remember games aren't for audio use only they are immensely visual.

New Island
I found that pretty interesting... in fact, it's not "New Island", it's more "New Guv'nor" or something ;)
The reason why it's interesting is that you don't build up everything from zero, but you take over a running system that was good and now have to continue it like that - of course it might be a hard task for the player, but the idea is good.

Amazing Monsters
I also thought of something like that some time ago... but not with huge Godzilla-like creatures, but more with human (or maximum double human) size, where you can run around and freak everybody out, scare little kids and spread terror all over the city or something ;) would be a cool new thing because mostly you're someone who has to save the earth, but now you could also be someone who just destroys it ;)

Honestly, those ideas are all pretty vague and derivative. The island game for example could be taken into a million directions (Civilization style, Intellivision Utopia, Virtual Villagers, etc). Take whatever grabs you most and run with it.....

All these ideas sound like mixing of famous videogames. Nothing very original and as someone else said some concepts are rather vagues.
And also...

The DFL: A football game where the players consist of orcs, ogres, werewolves, zombies, and more. The playing fields themselves are dangerous to each team and they are properly called battlefields with each having it's own dangers.

It's not a new idea, and when a company published a title with this idea last year (Chaos league) they got sued by the creators of BloodBowl (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bloodbow).

Furthermore, even if those ideas could lead to some fun games in theory, realization is what matters.

There's only one correct answer here: combine them all.

A widowed ex-cop joins the local Bloodbowl league to track down the killer of her husband, who once owned the island they live on. Guided by his customizable spirit, she develops the local real estate to her liking. By night, she engages in a killing spree of nuclear proportions. She battles zombies, ogres, giraffes, and werewolves -- each with their own pros and cons -- eventually challenging the very gods themselves. There are also buildings that crumble realistically.

When is this one out? I want a copy!

Returning briefly to relative sanity, I read the description of "The DFL" thinking about "Battles of Norghan". No werewolves in that and no football either, but the idea of a team of monsters battling it out in a sports arena has been done more than once. I vaguely recall reading about Warhammer doing something similar, so it's not just in the world of games.
