So my friend and I were doing some bitching last night about MFC, and got to wondering who's brainchild it was....
does anyone know?
I did a few preliminary searches in google, but didn't even come close to finding a name behind the library...
Is Mr. X behind the .NET framework?

How terribly trendy of you.
does anyone know?
I seriously doubt that any one person would be credited. It's too large of a library not to be a team effort. Same with .NET...

hehe, wow wazoo, your a philosopher today ea?
I always thought that the MFC was all the good stuff from the making of windows 3.11, all rolled up into one big editor-style burrito.
Of course some say that it was found at Area 51. Amongst the reckage was a monitor with a Blue Screen of Death with the message "Landing.exe" has caused an invalid page fault. :p

It was invented by a certain Milton Friedman Ciccone. You know, Madonna's dad. He later wisely turned to economics.

I don't know if he invented it, but I do know that former Microsoft employee and current active ASP member Mark Walsen was a part of its development.
He is now the author of MidiNotate at http://www.notation.com
