Non indie games good for playing around Halloween include Grim Fandango, I Have No Mouth And Must Scream, Alone In The Dark (let's be honest, just the first, ok?), and Sanitarium.

When I posted this free Game Maker game the people who played it claimed it was Halloweenish, probably because of the Eyes, especially the bloodshot "Super Eyes."

Wow. And here I was thinking Greg and I had very different tastes in games.

Grim Fandango rivals Monkey Island II and the Zork I as the BEST ADVENTURE GAME EVER.

I also loved the first Alone in the Dark (back in the day...) I tried playing the later ones... even bought the latest for cheap, but couldn't play longer than ten minutes before growing bored and disgusted. I never played IHNMAIMS, but I remember reading some great reviews of it.
